I was a little annoyed with discussions about the burka and Muslim cultures on last week shows. That place that Laura Bush visited about breast cancer is actually one of the most liberal Middle Eastern culture. That country is having a surge in women having plastic surgery. And I find it annoying when people talk about women definately not wanting to or wanting to wear a burka when they dont have anyone representing them on the panel. I'm a Muslim and while I don't wear a headscarf or burka I know many women who do and like it, they chose it, and they feel more secure in it.

I wish when Bill went off on that rant about Islam and The Quran he had had Reza Aslan on instead of Mos Def. As a Muslim myself I think Reza would've been more eloquent and given a more rational response to it.
I saw an episode of Vh1's The Faboulous Life of: SugarDaddys and they had Bill Maher in it. It always bothered me how Bill seems to hook up date these vapid bimbos when you'd think such a thoughtful guy would find somebody with some substance.

| Shut Up Richard Dreyfus |
[17 Nov 2006|09:42pm] |

I know, I know, you're a civics professor at Oxford, but you bore the hell out of me. Richard's whole demeanor was annoying and pompous. He talked down to the other guests and acted like he was the smartest, most self assured person in the world. He didn't want to listen to anyone, and he thought that he was so important that it was okay to go on for five minutes straight. I have never seen someone so in love with his own ramblings. Really, it was quite sickening. I thought Robin Williams was annoying. I was wrong. Richard takes the cake. The show becomes really boring when one person rambles on and on, and there is no interaction between the guests and Bill. I used to love Real Time, and I am still a big fan of the show, but I think that he needs to cut people off if they are rambling. He should have cut Dreyfus off, because really, Richard kept saying the same thing over and over again, only changing his wording a bit. He acted like the camera should be on him the whole time because he was so damn profound, and I happened to think that the musician from Rage was just as smart as Dreyfus and probably had more to say. It's just sad when a guest is an attention hog, and ruins the show for the rest of us.

| Your Dream Panel!! |
[09 Oct 2006|12:47pm] |
If you had to choose a "Dream Panel," who would you choose, and why?
Mine:
1.Arianna Huffington-Because she's outspoken and extremely intelligent. 2.Rush Limbaugh/ or Bill O'Reilly (Basically one in the same) Just to see either one of them get the ever living crap beat out of them. 3.Anderson Cooper- Because he's out in the field and has experience to back up his opinions. 4. Willie Nelson- Just because he friggin rules!!
